Sud Up Recordings was set up in 2009 by Dom Ahtuam (aka Dlay/Syndrome) and Justin Berman as an outlet for their own productions. Initially the label's output comprised minimal and tech house with releases from Ahtuam,

Fortified Recordings' Agent Ried, emerging French producers Partial Holder, and Berlin based Tommi Bass, but later releases from Tom Lown and Paul Bardsley took the label in a deeper direction. New signings for 2011 include Jimmi Hendrik (SUDUP014 - What Do You Expect EP - on general release now) Nans "Ooze" Teillard (SUDUP015 - Ooze Message For You - forthcoming October 2011) and O.O.R.S (EP forthcoming in November)

As well as producing, the pair have been DJing together since 2003 under their Sketchy Beats guise, appearing regularly as guests at Jane Fitz's Peg Party, playing sets at parties in London, Cornwall, Sheffield, Nottingham and France, as well as appearing at numerous other London parties and promoting their own warehouse party in London in 2009 to celebrate launching the label.

In 2009, they began their involvement in radio, and presented a weekly show on London's House FM (Sud Up Recordings Show) for a year, before switching to a monthly Monday night slot on internet station Myhouse Yourhouse in June 2010 - check the Sketchy Beats Show every month on http://myhouseyourhouse.net - Mondays 8-10PM GMT
